Requirements
Our solution
Cost-Effective Infrastructure Upgrade: The cost of supporting BetClic's ageing technology was becoming untenable. An immediate need was to reduce these costs while simultaneously upgrading the infrastructure to improve performance.
Infrastructure Upgrade: FGS proposed a plan to introduce new HP 3PAR and Blade Server infrastructure into BetClic's Paris Datacentre over a five-year lease period, at an affordable monthly rate.
Datacentre Consolidation: BetClic was operating with multiple datacentres, leading to increased expenses. The company required a solution to decrease its operational footprint.
Datacentre Consolidation: FGS facilitated the closure of BetClic's Gibraltar Datacentre, consolidating operations into the Paris Datacentre. This measure led to immediate savings by reducing the number of datacentres.
Maintain Business Continuity: Throughout the infrastructure transition, it was paramount to ensure zero downtime, preserving seamless operations for their flourishing online gaming business.
Zero Downtime: FGS ensured a smooth transition by designing, configuring, and deploying BetClic's new infrastructure without causing any disruption to the company's services.
Results:
Implementing FGS’ solution, BetClic was able to save around £1.5 million in operating costs over five years. The transition to a new, consolidated Paris Datacentre provided BetClic with enhanced efficiency and risk mitigation, and the flexibility and scalability required to compete in the gaming industry. With improved disaster recovery policies, data protection was also significantly boosted. Moreover, BetClic’s user experience was noticeably enhanced, an aspect particularly visible during key peak periods.
